Not every family story was written down. Some survive in photographs—the crowded kitchens, holiday tables, birthday cakes, backyard parties, familiar faces, and ordinary gatherings that became part of who we are.
This collection reaches across generations, preserving moments from my family, friends, and the people who gathered around them. Some were taken long before I arrived. Others belong to memories I experienced myself. Together, they offer glimpses of celebrations, meals, traditions, and everyday life as it was actually lived.
These photographs are not here because they are perfect. They are here because someone thought the moment was worth keeping.
Gathered Memories

A few years apart, but some things never changed.
Grandma and I had a way of finding each other in the middle of whatever was happening around us. In both of these photographs, we are looking at each other instead of the camera, smiling as though the rest of the room has fallen away.
I love that these moments were caught here, in the kitchen that held so much of our life together. Long before I understood recipes as inheritance, or a kitchen as a place where memory could live, I knew something much simpler.
Being in Grandma’s kitchen meant warmth, laughter, and being loved.
